Eddie Redmayne pretends to know people in the street.
The 'Les Miserables' actor has confessed his memory is so bad he has to feign recognition and start a conversation if a fan approaches him while he's out and about in case he actually knows them.
Eddie said: ''I've got a really appalling c**p memory. Someone will come up to me in the street and go, 'Eddie!' And I'll try to give myself time by going into overdrive, 'Hey, hi. Nice to see you.' And start a whole conversation because I can't distinguish between who I know and who I don't.''
One person Eddie, 31, doesn't have trouble remembering is his 'Birdsong' co-star Clemence Poesy as he shared steamy sex scenes with the 'Harry Potter' actress, before which the pair got drunk together in order to banish any awkwardness.
He explained in an interview with more! magazine: ''We went out one night early on and got pretty p***ed together - we went through disastrous moments in our love lives, and it was quite a good way of getting to trust each other. When you're that exposed, basically spending quite a lot of time half naked on top of each other, you need to have some trust!''
