Ed Westwick used his French language skills to talk his way out of a fight.
The 'Gossip Girl' actor got into a heated exchange with some patrons of the No. 8 bar in New York City last week when he stepped outside for a cigarette and although a bouncer tried to intervene, Ed quickly got the situation under control.
A source told the New York Post's Page Six: ''It got so animated that a bouncer came over to break it up. But Ed assured him all was good. The guys worked out the situation in French.''
Earlier this month, Ed reportedly tried to throw a punch at a patron in another New York bar when he wrongly believed the man was trying to take a picture of him.
A source said: ''Ed thought that one of the guys from the next table was taking a photo of him. But he was really just trying to get a shot of his girlfriend. Ed freaked out. He leapt up and tried to punch the guy, but completely missed.''
