Memories from Comic-Con 2015 may be centred around 'Suicide Squad' and 'Batman v Superman', but let's not forget what Marvel had in store this year; namely 'Deadpool' starring Ryan Reynolds and Ed Skrein. Wait, who was that last one?

'Who is Ed Skrein?' is the question on a lot of people's lips after his appearance at San Diego Comic-Con International. Ryan Reynolds may not be such a surprise to play Deadpool, given his comic-book movie history ('Green Lantern', 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine', 'Blade: Trinity'), but an unfamiliar face linked to his arch-nemesis Ajax has just added to the excitement.

After monopolising dangerous driving, kick-ass fighting and moody expressions in the first three The Transporter movies, Jason Statham has handed over the reins to Game of Thrones favourite, Ed Skrein for The Transporter Refuelled.

Ill Manors Review

Grim
Musician Ben Drew (aka Plan B) shows impressive skill in his filmmaking debut, even if he's chosen a badly overworked genre. So no matter how stylish the film is, the lack of a central plot or an original theme make it difficult to care what happens.

On a bleak East London estate, Aaron (Ahmed) is a low-life dealer hanging out with his thuggish best pal Ed (Skrein). When Ed's phone goes missing, they trace it to crack-addict Michelle (Mond), who they force to turn tricks to pay Ed back. Meanwhile, a young kid (Indianda) must prove himself if he wants to join a gang led by Marcel (Sagar). Later, Aaron has a chance encounter with terrified Katya (Press), who abandons her baby with him. Unable to find her, Aaron lets Ed arrange a black-market adoption.

Piggy Review

Weak
Stylish filmmaking makes this dark thriller worth a look, even if the tricky premise feels rather stale. We understand from the start what writer-director Hawkes is doing here, so the way it plays out feels frustratingly flat, especially as the grisliness escalates.

Working as a messenger in London, Joe (Compston) is a loner who doesn't like to be around people but is bored with his repetitive, numb life. Things improve when he reconnects with older brother John (Maskell) and his girlfriend Claire (Dylan). But Joe is terrified of violence, and rightly so, as both he and John are attacked in the streets. Then he meets John's street-thug friend Piggy (Anderson), who wears a rubber pig-nose as a disguise. He makes Joe feel eerily safe as he teaches him how to get revenge.
