British singer Ed Sheeran struggles to cope with normal life when he isn't touring and felt "at a loss" when he had a break over Christmas (12).

The A Team hitmaker supported Snow Patrol on their North American trek last year (12) and was given time off over the festive season as he gears up to hit the road with pop star Taylor Swift, but Sheeran reveals he hates taking a break from performing.

The singer tells the New Zealand Herald, "I don't think I could actually cope without it, funnily enough. I had two weeks off at Christmas, and I was just at a loss for what to do, so I kind of love being on tour, it gives me something to wake up for, in a funny way. And I'm seeing places in the world I never thought I'd visit."
