British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has reached out to a terminally ill teenager after she revealed seeing one of his shows is on her 'bucket list'.
Abigail Fleming, 14, has been told she has only weeks to live after fighting bone cancer for four years, and she plans to host her 16th birthday party early and charge an entrance fee so she can afford to carry out her final wishes.
After reading her touching story in Britain's The Sun newspaper, Sheeran sent Fleming video message, promising her a Vip trip to see one of his concerts.
Sheeran says, "I was so touched when I heard her story that I just wanted to do something. I wasn't in the U.K. at the time, so I recorded a message and sent it to her straight away. She's a very brave girl."
Her mother Maria adds, "She was delighted and really pleased. We put it (the video message) on the iPod so Abigail could watch it when she woke up. He said 'Happy Birthday' in the message and asked if she wanted to get to a gig - and he said he could sort it out.
"We don't know if Abi will make it to a show though because she only has days or weeks left."
