Ed Sheeran is disappointed he didn't get an Oscar nomination.
The 22-year-old singer wrote the track 'I See Fire' for 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' and was hoping for an Academy nod for Best Original Song this week but has been snubbed.
The 'Drunk' hitmaker took to Twitter to share how he felt with his eight million followers, writing: ''Schnubbed'', which was shared more than 2,000 times on the site.
Ed was left out of the nominations list, which includes Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' from 'Despicable Me 2', Demi Lovato's 'Let It Go' from 'Frozen', 'Alone Not Yet Alone' from the movie of the same name, U2's 'Ordinary Love' from 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom' and Karen O's 'The Moon Song' from 'Her'.
Ed's fans took to the social networking site to make him feel better about being missed out and insisted he would win an Oscar for his music eventually.
One follower wrote to the singer: ''Sorry, dude. Clearly, whoever picks the songs doesn't know what they're doing. It's an amazing song and you know it.''
Another said: ''I See Fire definitely deserved an Oscar nomination, listened to that beautiful song so many times. (sic)''
But it's not all bad news for Ed, as he's just added dates to his upcoming UK and Ireland tour.
The singer has finished recording his second album, the follow-up to '+', and will head out on the road in October.
