Country icon Earl Scruggs is recovering after falling onstage at the South Carolina State Bluegrass Festival in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The banjo-playing veteran, 81, was leaving the stage at the event yesterday (27NOV05) when lights impaired his vision, causing him to trip and fall, cutting his face.
Scruggs was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and kept overnight for tests before being released this morning (28NOV05).
