Actress Drew Barrymore Helped To Lift The Spirits Of Mums Caring For Sick Kids By Hosting A Beauty Event At The Children's Hospital Los Angeles In Honour Of Mother's Day (10may15).
The Charlie's Angels star joined forces with a team of volunteer hair and make-up artists to pay a visit to the medical centre on Friday (08May15) to pamper young patients and visitors with products from her Flower Beauty cosmetics line ahead of the U.S. holiday on Sunday (10May15).
Barrymore, who has two daughters of her own, tells People.com, "We learned that the mothers don't often get to leave the hospital so holding an event there can help break up the routine in the day. These mothers are heroes that deserve our attention and gratitude.
"It’s also wonderful for the children because they can come and play and get face painting and manicures while their mums get treated to a day of beauty with full hair and make up stations."
The event marked Barrymore's second annual Mother's Day bash with her Flower Beauty brand.
