For some reason Drake didn't seem too happy after receiving the smooch from the Queen of Pop and was seen furiously wiping his mouth afterwards. The image of Drake's grossed out looking face and frantic mouth wiping has unsurprisingly led to a slew of internet memes, with Madonna being compared to everything from a Dementor to Dracula.

One popular meme shows the Drake kiss as well as Madonna locking lips with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera at the 2003 Video Music Awards and sharing a smooch with former boyfriend Brahim Zaibat onstage in 2012. Along with the pictures comes the caption, ‘Madonna stays young by discreetly sucking the life out of the youth #SaveTheYouth #StopMadonna.'

Another shows Gary Oldman as Dracula in the 1992 adaptation and is captioned 'Madonna cleaning her tongue before finding next victim to kiss.’ Others decided to compare the 56 year old singer to a soul sucking Dementor from the Harry Potter movies.

But Madonna had few words for the haters on Instagram, posting a picture of the text, 'If you don't like me and still watch everything I do... Btich you're a fan,’ on Monday. The Queen of Pop later followed with another image, taken from her 1994 ‘Human Nature’ video and the caption "I'm not your bitch… Don't hang your shit on me.”

Of course all anyone really wants to know is, why did Drake make that face after the onstage kiss? TMZ had their theory, reporting that a source close to the rapper said his reaction was because he didn’t like Madge’s lipstick.

Drake later posted an image of the kiss to Instagram writing, ‘Moments to write home about’. He then followed hours later with the same image and the caption, ‘Don't misinterpret my shock!! I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel [100] about that forever.’

So was it shock, lipstick or something else? We can’t be sure, but we’re guessing it’ll be a while before the internet allows anyone to forget this Coachella moment.
