Rapper Drake has opened up about his mother's mystery illness, insisting he is "scared" of losing her.
The Best I Ever Had hitmaker was brought up in Toronto, Canada by his mother Sandi Graham and the pair has maintained a close relationship, with Drake even taking her as his date to this year's (10) Grammy Awards.
But the hip-hop star, real name Aubrey Graham, has now revealed he fears for his mum because she is sick and he doesn't know what he would do without her.
Opening up during MTV documentary Drake: Better Than Good Enough, he says, "My mom is sick. So that scares me a lot. She's been the most supportive person I've ever had in my life - the only person that loves me unconditionally, really. I know a lot of people love me and I love a lot of people. But to love somebody unconditionally is different."
And Sandi isn't the only close person Drake is concerned about - his producer pal Noah '40' Shebib is currently battling multiple sclerosis.
He adds, "I really don't know if I could keep making music without 40. I really don't know. That's one of the biggest fears I have, is losing 40."
The documentary debuted in the U.S. on Wednesday (23Jun10).
