Drake seemingly dropped a new album titled If You're Reading This It's Too Late via Twitter just before midnight on Thursday (February 12). The project clocks in at 17 tracks and features collaboration with Lil Wayne, Travi$ Scott and PartyNextDoor and is available on SoundCloud or on iTunes for $12.99.

DrakeDrake has surprise-released a new album title 'If You're Reading This You're Too Late'

The surprise album drop is still something of a shock to fans, though it's clearly no longer an original idea in music. Beyonce shock-released her self-titled fifth album on iTunes in December 2013 with no forewarning or marketing.

If You're Reading This It's Too Late comes six years after Drake released his last mixtape - 2009's So Far Gone.

The mixtape comes at a strange time for Drake, who apparently had a sky-high fight with Diddy in Miami recently. This week, Rap-A-Lot Records CEO James Prince recently recorded a pretty cold blooded warning to Diddy, Suge Knight, Lil Wayne, Birdman and the rest of Drake's enemies.

On a new track, Prince spells things out pretty clearly. "Puffy feeling like he can put his hands on my family, open the doors for his family to be touched. You reap what you sow," he raps.

In one of Drake's new tracks - Energy- the rapper talks up his financial security.

"I got two mortgages / $30 million in total / I got ni--a that are still trynna f*ckin' me over / I got rap ni--a that I gotta act like I like / But my actin' days are over / F*ck them ni--a for life."
