The rapper admitted he’s a big fan the country singer who’s also from Canada.
Rapper Drake had a fanboy moment backstage at his concert in Nashville on Sunday night, when he met country legend Shania Twain. The ‘Hotline Bling’ hitmaker called Shania his "woman crush" when he shared a pic on Instagram of the two backstage at the show, after gushing about his love for her onstage.
“My WCW even though it's Monday. Shania,” Drake captioned the pic of the pair smiling backstage. On stage the rapper also wasn't shy about declaring his feelings for Shania. "I grew up a fan," he told the crowd at Bridgestone Arena, The Tennessean reports.
"I just want to say that, like, Shania Twain came to my show tonight, you know what I'm saying Nashville? So this next set, right here, I'm doing this for Shania. This is my love set for Shania, right here.”
But Shania wasn't the only famous face to show up at one of Drake's shows this weekend. On Saturday he was joined by NBA legend Lebron James in Columbus, Ohio, to help him perform track ‘Pop Style.’
"Now we gotta do it for old time's sake," Drake said introducing the NBA pro "Ohio, make some noise for LeBron James here tonight.” James then appeared and added: “Yo, one time, Columbus Ohio, give it up for Drizzy motherf**king Drake. And one more time for my brother Future who killed this sh** tonight."
Drake then added: "One more time, for the man who came back home and brought a motherf**king championship instead of doing anything different. Make some noise for The King, LeBron James, is here tonight, boy. It's love, man. That's a hometown hero right there.”
After the show James shared a photo of himself onstage on Instagram. "All Summer Sixteen," he captioned the pic. "@champagnepapi @future showed my people in Columbus so much love and they returned the favor. #WhataTimeToBeAlive #StriveForGreatness #RWTW #WeGotAReallyBigTeam."
