Rapper Drake Is Appealing To Directors To Send Him Scripts For Potential Movie Roles As He Is Eager To Return To His Acting Roots.
The former child star, real name Aubrey Graham, began his showbusiness career as a castmember on longrunning Canadian teen soap Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Drake subsequently turned his focus to music, and although he has scored small appearances in a couple of films, he is keen to really test his acting skills as the star of a new movie.
"I can't wait to get back into acting," he tells America's W magazine. "No one ever asks me to do movies, and although music is my focal point now... I'd love to do a film. That was the life that I lived before, and it would be interesting to live it again."
Drake portrayed aspiring basketball star Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation from 2001 to 2009, while he scored a small voice role in 2012's animated Ice Age: Continental Drift and appeared in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues in 2013.
