The 27 year-old feels that the stars of today are sending a"gross, awful, terrible message" to their legions of fans, who he brands "repulsive."
Drake Bell isn't a fan of some of the most popular names in music today. The 27 year-old actor/musician puts Laady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande in the firing line for their infatuated fans, and their meteoric rise to fame.
Sounds a lot like jealousy.
Drake Bell hates the stars' huge fanbase?
Drake was recently interviewed by BuzzFeed about the state of the pop-music industry today.
"There's just a lot of really young, entitled people," he told the website. "I don't think a lot of these young people have to work very hard."
"They're found on YouTube and, boom, thrown into the studio so they think they can get anything they want," he continued to rant. "Ariana Grande is a billionaire before she's been an artist. You have to work to be able to appreciate what you have, and what work did she ever have to do in her life?"
He blasted Ariana Grande for having an easy rise to fame
The former 'Drake & Josh' actor obviously was obviously criticising the way Justin Bieber was discovered, and not soon after, he took a shot at the pop-star's fan base, as well as Lady Gaga's.
"I can't stand that, with a lot of the pop stars, there's this idea of 'Are you in our clique? Are you a Directioner or are you a Belieber? Oh, you're not in our gang? Then you're not cool and you need to go in a hole and die,'" Bell said. "I don't understand it. And what's worse is artists like Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber don't come out and say, 'I love having you as my fans, but you shouldn't be acting this way.' They just eat it all up, and I think it's repulsive."
Bell thinks Bieber doesn't treat his fans in the correct way
