Phil Anselmo's band Down has been dropped from Dutch music festival FortaRock after he reportedly made racist gestures during a show in California last month (Jan16).
The former Pantera frontman hit headlines after he allegedly flashed a Nazi salute and yelled "white power" during a tribute concert for the late 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott in Los Angeles. Anselmo hit back at the allegations, insisting he was joking about drinking white wine, but he also subsequently apologised for causing any offence.
However, FortaRock organisers are far from impressed with his actions and his explanation and apology, and they have decided to drop the band from their bill in June (16).
"There has been close consultation between all parties in recent days, since we wanted to make a well informed decision," a message on the festival's website reads. "On that basis, the decision is made to cancel the act. We want to make clear that there is no room for racism or fascism on FortaRock."

Ke$Ha has penned an ode to her favourite Tv character for the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine, revealing she'll miss Kenny Powers when U.S. comedy series Eastbound & DOWN ends after its current season.
The Die Young singer admits she's "obsessed" with Danny MCBride's irreverent former baseball star character, and she feels she can relate to the "all-American hillbilly white-trash hero" on a "really deep level" - and she's upset she never got the chance to make a cameo on the show, like Marilyn Manson, who agreed to appear without his ghoulish make-up on a recent episode.
In her Rolling Stone essay, the pop star writes, "(Powers and I) are both oblivious, missing social cues about what's appropriate. We both have a really dark and obscene sense of humour, which my publicists tell me I have to tone down.

Funnyman MCBride insists the Rock is Dead singer was the perfect gentleman on set and appeared to be enjoying his acting stint, so he was shocked when he received a call from the hotel's manager shortly after Manson checked out.
He says, "They were like, 'Manson trashed the room!' I was like, 'Really? That's odd'.

The star unmasked his true identity on Tv for the first time by appearing without his usual heavy white foundation and dark lipstick to shoot a short scene for the comedy series this week (begs07Oct13).
The Disposable Teens hitmaker has reportedly been lobbying producers to cast him in the show, according to editors at Tmz.com.
The Pineapple Express star took a tumble while shooting a scene on roller blades and was transported to a local medical centre after experiencing a great deal of pain.
The 36 year old has since been discharged after undergoing a precautionary check-up and he tells Tmz.com, "I busted my a** on roller skates. The roller skates won."
The Beautiful People singer has teamed up with the show's directors Adam Bhala Lough and David Gordon Green for his new horror movie Splatter Sisters, and the pair recently revealed their shock when he paraded around the set dressed as MCBride's mullet-sporting sports star alter-ego Kenny Powers.
And Manson's penchant for Powers has gone to new extremes - he's started bombarding MCBride with strange emails.
MCBride explains, "I get weird emails from Marilyn Manson now. He sends me weird emails in the middle of the night of what he's watching on TV... One time he literally sent me a Peanuts special I guess he was watching, sometimes it's Eastbound, infomercials, anything."

The Beautiful People singer has teamed up with the show's directors Adam Bhala Lough and David Gordon Green for his new horror movie Splatter Sisters.
And the pair was shocked when Manson turned up on set as MCBride's washed-up sports star alter-ego Kenny Powers - and started reciting segments of the show's script.
Green says, "Marilyn Manson, he's f**king obsessed with the show. He goes so far as to dress up like Kenny."

JOE ELLIOTT's first big London gig with his new band DOWN 'N OUTZ ended in chaos after festival organisers cut the group's set short - leading to an onstage argument in front of thousands of fans.
The Def Leppard frontman is playing with his new group while the rock band is on hiatus and they took to the stage in the British capital on Sunday (25Jul10) for the High Voltage festival in London's Victoria Park.
The group welcomed Mott The Hoople star Ian Hunter onto the stage towards the end of their set, but the music came to an abrupt halt after they overran their allotted time slot - organisers cut the sound and announced the end of the show over the loudspeakers, much to the surprise of Elliott and his bandmates.
The visibly annoyed rockers congregated at the side of the stage and were seen arguing with officials as they were forced off.

Sextet Nota, from Puerto Rica, were crowned the winners of the reality programme on Monday (21Dec09) after wowing judges Nicole Scherzinger, Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman and singer Ben Folds with their vocal abilities on an a cappella version of Sean's smash hit.
But they were almost left speechless when Sean himself jumped on stage to surprise them during their victory performance.
Sean tells People.com, "When they called me up and said if Nota win, we would love for you to come out, surprise them and sing your song with them, I said, ‘Oh my God, of course I will.'
