Doug Hutchison, the 51-year-old actor best known for playing 'Percy Wetmore' in the classic movie 'The Green Mile', has married a 16-year-old aspiring country singer. Doug Hutchison and Courtney Alexis Stodden tied the knot during a ceremony in Las Vegas on 20th May 2011.
Speaking of their 35-year age difference, the couple told E! Online, "We're aware that our vast age difference is extremely controversial. But we're very much in love and want to get the message out there that true love can be ageless". Speaking on his website, the actor said, "Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison live together happily ensconced in their Hollywood Hills home with their lil' pups Everette and Tuna!" As both marriage license applicants in Clark County must be 18-years-old, Stodden must have received legal permission from at least one of her parents to marry Hutchison. Aside from his role in 'The Green Mile', the actor also played 'Eugene Victor Tooms' in 'The X-Files', 'Horace Goodspeed' in 'Lost' and 'Davros' in 24. He owns the production company 'Dark Waters Inc'.
