Donny Osmond has shattered his wholesome image by declaring he stole an expensive costume from one of his stage shows and once trashed a hotel room.

In the 1990s, the devout Mormon played JOSEPH in the North American tour of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOUR DREAMCOAT.

But rather than part with his costume, Osmond decided to hold onto it - even though he couldn't.

He tells BLENDER magazine, "After I did Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, they wouldn't let me keep the coat so I stole it. It's probably worth $5,000."

But Osmond insists his rebellious antics don't end there, adding, "When I was 14, I clogged the toilet, turned the beds upside-down and put shaving cream everywhere. My dad found out and it wasn't pretty."

And while Osmond has managed to steer clear of the evils of gambling, he admits that on the one occasion he was tempted he was duly rewarded.

He says, "I put a quarter in the slot machine and won three hundred bucks."
