Donatella Versace claims her pampered pooch Audrey is the ultimate style icon and ambassador for her luxury fashion brand.
Donatella Versace says her dog is the ultimate ''Versace woman''.
The Italian fashion designer's pampered pet pooch Audrey - named after screen legend Audrey Hepburn - is a constant source of inspiration for Donatella's luxury clothing brand because the bundle of fluff is such a fashionista.
She said: ''You have to understand that Audrey is not a dog. She's my best friend... Audrey is a Versace woman. She's very comfortable around the cameras. I don't know why.
''She's very fashionable. She loves model fittings, she loves to see the girls in the clothes. She walks on their trains sometimes.''
The spoilt Jack Russell is certainly one of the most stylish celebrity pets - giving even Karl Lagerfeld's beloved cat Choupette a run for her money - and Donatella revealed Audrey only ever wears custom-made designer outfits in order to stay the forefront of fashion.
Donatella explained in an interview with Grazia magazine: ''I dress her every day. Right now, she has a quilted tartan coat with gold buttons, a black cashmere turtleneck and a little raincoat. Black. Vinyl. Belted.''
