Donald Trump believes bosses at American TV network NBC have "taken advantage" of him - because they refused to give him $24 million (GBP13.3 million) an episode for his reality show.

The property tycoon has proved to be a big success with his show THE Apprentice, but he wants to rake in a lot more cash for his efforts.

He jokes, "NBC has really taken advantage of me, but I feel it's okay.

"Each one of the Friends people gets $2 million (GBP1.1 million) a show, so I said, 'I want Friends-type money,' to (NBC entertainment president) JEFF ZUCKER. He said, 'Well, maybe we can talk about something like that.'

"I said, 'Wait a minute, there's six of them, there's one of me, so I want six times the two. My show's an hour and their's is a half an hour - and we get better ratings.'

"That was $24 million a show. You know what? I didn't get (paid) anywhere near that!"
