Business tycoon-turned-reality TV star Donald Trump hasn't ruled out running for America's President in 2012, despite publicly denouncing the idea in a formal statement just a week ago.
Earlier this year (11) Trump hinted he would be running as a hopeful Republican, and many political pundits suggested he would win a lot of votes if he decided to enter the race to become the party's candidate for the presidency.
However, earlier this month (May11), the Celebrity Apprentice star surprised supporters and bowed out, stating, "After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the presidency. This decision does not come easily or without regret."
But Trump appears to be regretting that decision already, hinting on Tuesday (24May11) he may rethink launching a campaign against current President Barack Obama in 2012 after all.
During an appearance on U.S. morning news show Fox & Friends, Trump says, “Who knows if I did the right thing. I am not seeing a lot out of the Republican candidates. (It is) so vital that we choose the right person, and, at this moment, I don’t see that person. I can’t rule out anything. Stranger things have happened (than a person rejoining the race).”
