Lindsay Lohan Defends Donald Trump On Twitter

Lindsay Lohan Donald Trump

Lindsay Lohan may have just outed herself as a Trump supporter, moving to defend the highly controversial president from his critics by urging them to “stop bullying him” and “start trusting him”.

The 31 year old former Mean Girls star took to Twitter on the Fourth of July to take a stand on Trump’s behalf – unusual, when virtually the entire celebrity world has been against him from the word go.

“THIS is our president,” she wrote online in response to a Breitbart news article about Trump offering to help terminally ill baby Charlie Gard, the British infant whose parents were refused medical help for their son by the European Court of Human Rights. “Stop #bullying him & start trusting him. Thank you personally for supporting #THEUSA.”

Donald Trump Invents Bizarre New Word - "Covfefe"

Donald Trump

Donald Trump has left the internet baffled by seemingly inventing a new word that has taken the world by storm – ‘covfefe’.

That’s right. Trump sent out the mysterious tweet shortly after midnight on Wednesday (May 31st), writing the bizarre word in the context of the sentence: “Despite the constant negative press covfefe.”

That was it. Nothing else. No explanation, and not even in connection with anything else he had written. The incident left many of his 31 million Twitter followers pretty baffled, even by Trump’s pretty high standards for random social media engagement.

Why Kathy Griffin's Severed Trump Head Photoshoot Was So Wrong

Kathy Griffin Donald Trump

Sometimes political statements can go way too far. Kathy Griffin is under fire after partaking in a special photoshoot with Tyler Shields that featured her holding the bloody, severed head of the President. Fake, obviously. But nonetheless, there has been uproar from Trump supporters everywhere.

At least now the 56-year-old comedian has apologised for her actions.

Late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon has reflected on his divisive encounter with Donald Trump on the ‘Tonight Show’ last year, during which he ruffled the future president’s hair.

During the interview, Fallon reached over to ruffle the would-be politician’s hair, and he swiftly received a backlash on social media for normalising and trivialising Trump after he had made several shocking policy statements.

Trump was unhappy at Kelly’s line of questioning about comments he had made about women in the past, and in a later interview with CNN, he said she had “blood coming out of her eyes… blood coming out of her wherever.”

Jon Stewart Explains What He'll Do If Donald Trump Becomes President

Jon Stewart Donald Trump Trevor Noah

Jon Stewart has made one final parting shot at Donald Trump, detailing what he would do if the leading candidate for the Republican presidential nomination actually reached the White House in next year’s election.

While speaking to the press after accepting two Primetime Emmy Awards given to Comedy Cental’s ‘The Daily Show’ on Sunday, the late night political satire show he presented for 16 years until last month, Stewart was asked whether he’d return to his former post if his ‘nemesis’ achieved the highest office in the country in 2016.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Announced As Donald Trump's Replacement On 'Celebrity Apprentice'

Arnold Schwarzenegger Donald Trump

In the wake of Donald Trump’s dismissal from the network, NBC has announced that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be the billionaire’s replacement as the host of its reality show ‘Celebrity Apprentice’.

The network made the announcement via a statement on Monday (September 14th) that was reported by Deadline. “Arnold Schwarzenegger is the epitome of a global brand in entertainment and business, and his accomplishments in the political arena speak for themselves,” it said. Arnie is expected to make his debut as the host when the series returns in early 2016.

68 year old Schwarzenegger is, of course, a former governor of California, in office from 2003 to 2011. His rather strange career arc has seen him go from athlete, to actor, to politician and back to actor again in his nearly fifty year time in the limelight. Presumably the catchphrase will have to change from “you’re fired” to “you’re terminated”!

In a recent interview, Trump was attempting to backtrack on his recent comments about women but he failed, quite miserably, when he started rating the supermodel on her looks. Meet The Trumps: Ivanka Trump Expecting Second Child

Ivanka Trump Donald Trump

The Trump family is expecting. Whether you deem that to be a good, or a potentially scary proposition, it's happening. Ivanka Trump is expecting her second child with Jared Kushner, the owner of the New York Observer. The new baby will join the couple's 20-month old daughter Arabella Rose. "Jared and I are so excited that Arabella will become a big sister this fall," Trump tweeted on Thursday (April 11, 2013).

Now, you may be asking yourself how Ivanka is possibly going to care for two children by holding down an executive position at her father's Trump Organization? We're pretty sure nanny's will be involved somewhere down the line, though the businesswoman appears to have figured out a way to balance both. "I think the expression 'working' versus 'non-working' implies that a mother who stays home doesn't work. It's far more difficult than anything I do in the office," she recently told Redbook magazine, "Every morning I'm so sad to leave Arabella. But it's important for me to continue what I'm doing. It's fulfilling to me, and I think it makes me a better mom when I'm home." Ivanka also sits alongside her famous father Donald on the judges panel on Celebrity Apprentice. It seems the billionaire  will be forced into more babysitting. "He takes her all the time - but with me," Ivanka joked. "He wouldn't know what to do if she was crying or needed a diaper change."

Ivanka Trump, who has an estimated personal fortune of $150 million dollars, is also the principal of Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry and The Ivanka Trump Lifestyle Collection, which includes fragrance, footwear and handbags.

Ivanka Trump is expecting her second child with husband Jared Kushner, owner of the New York Observer. The new addition will join the couple's 20-month old daughter Arabella Rose. "Jared and I are so excited that Arabella will become a big sister this fall," Trump tweeted on Thursday (April 11, 2013). "Thanks for all your good wishes!"

It's going to be another hectic year for Ivanka, 31, who holds a top executive role at her father's Trump Organization. However, she appears to have a found a nice balance between her work life and becoming a mother. "I think the expression 'working' versus 'non-working' implies that a mother who stays home doesn't work. It's far more difficult than anything I do in the office," she recently told Redbook magazine, "Every morning I'm so sad to leave Arabella. But it's important for me to continue what I'm doing. It's fulfilling to me, and I think it makes me a better mom when I'm home."

Father Donald, whom she judges alongside on Celebrity Apprentice, will no doubt be delighted with the news, though it'll mean added responsibilities in the babysitting department. "He takes her all the time - but with me," Ivanka joked. "He wouldn't know what to do if she was crying or needed a diaper change."

Donald Trump Sues Bill Maher For $5 Million Over Orangutan Remark

Donald Trump

Donald Trump is suing political commentator and television host Bill Maher for remarks he made on The Tonight Show in January. Mr Maher appeared on Jay Leno's programme and announced he would donate $5 million to charity if Mr Trump provided evidence that he was "not the spawn of his mother having sex with orangutan."

Bizarrely, Trump provided his birth certificate to prove his parents were indeed human, though is now suing Mayer for the comments. "I don't know whether I will win or lose the Bill Maher lawsuit but had an obligation to sue for charity," Mr Trump said on Monday. "He promised me $5 million for charity if I provided certain information. Well, I provided the information. He didn't pay. So today I sue Bill Maher for $5 million for charity," he said, calling into Fox and Friends. Trump added that he didn't think Mayer was joking about his mother potentially having sex with orugantans, saying, "That was venom. That wasn't a joke. In fact, he was nervous when he said it; it was a pathetic delivery." Mayer's initial comments were used to mock Trump, who announced he would donate $5 million of his own money to charity if President Obama released his college records.

Mayer gave his reaction to Trump's lawsuit on Twitter, saying, "What?? Really? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha."

Diane Sawyer Rumors: Is She Considering Retirement In 2013?

Diane Sawyer Donald Trump

Diane Sawyer rumors have been swirling for weeks, with the New York Daily News quoting a "source" close to the anchor of ABC World News as saying she would be calling it a day in 2013. "She has discussed with a few close friends and some people at ABC that she is seriously considering retiring," said the insider.

Sawyer has reportedly discussed the matter with a few close friends and some of the head honchos at ABC and is said to be "seriously considering retiring." The rumors may be linked to Sawyer's caring of her ill mother. "No one wants to see her going through a rough time. She's the nicest woman. If it's a co-worker's birthday, she'll throw a party. Anything to show everyone a good time," said the source. The veteran anchor - who previously helmed ABC's Good Morning America - is perhaps best known for her interview with Donald Trump's ex-wife Marla Maples, asking her "Was it really the best sex you ever had?" Sawyer has also sat down with the likes of Fidel Castro, Saddam Hussein, Whitney Houston, President Obama and shooting victim Gabby Gifford. Her apparent slurring during her recent Election Night coverage prompted the launch of a mock Twitter account, Drunk Diane Sawyer.

A representative for ABC denies Sawyer's retirement, saying, "That's a bunch of nonsense as we made clear and Diane's plans for 2013 haven't changed in any way."

Miss Universe Olivia Culpo Speaks Out About Tripping On Ball Gown

Donald Trump Olivia Culpo

Miss Culpo must have been considered one of the most beautiful Miss Universe contestants of all time by the judges, given that she tripped over her dress during the evening gown competition and still managed to walk away with the ultimate prize. Americans assumed their girl was done-for after the slip, but she battled back in the interview round and was crowned the first Stateside Miss Universe in 15 years.

As rock-pop band Train were performing at the event, Culpo walked on stage but tripped on the fabric of her flowing gown. Somehow, the Rhode Island native kept her composure and recovered from the error. Later in the evening, she was crowned Miss Universe 2012 and spoke to fans on Twitter about the trip, "I hope my little slip last night in evening gown competition will inspire everyone this year competing! It's okay to mess up. You're human!" she said.

Culpo seemingly came from nowhere to win this year's prize, and initially stunned her professional musician parents by competing in the Miss Rhode Island pageant last year. On that occasion, she rented a $25 dress (with a hole in the back) though still won the competition. In an official video created to give Americans the chance to get to know their beauty queen, Culpo explained that she had a "weird" taste in movies, saying, "I like anything from anime, foreign films, documentaries, just the stranger movies, I like regular ones too, but I like to explore."

For the time in 15 years, an American has won the annual Miss Universe pageant. Olivia Culpo, 20, received the coveted tiara on Wednesday evening (December 19, 2012), beating out 88 other contestants including Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon, who was tipped to win the competition during the early stages. An American had not won the competition since 1997, and Culpo's rise to glory is extraordinary in itself.

Culpo, from Rhode Island, is a noted cellist and has performed at the Boston Symphony Hall and New York City's Carnegie Hall. She is the daughter of two professionally trained musicians and has performed alongside the world renowned Yo-Yo Ma. She does not have a particularly rich modelling past and surprised her parents by entering the Miss Rhode Island pageant last year. According to Newsday.com, her father Peter said, "We didn't know a thing about pageants." After studying current events on flashcards, working out and dieting, she won over judges in Donald Trump's Miss Universe pageant, despite tripping on her gown.

Boston Student Wins Miss Universe: An Honor In A Time Of Tragedy

Donald Trump

A student from Boston University has brought the Miss Universe crown back to the USA after a gap of 15 years. Olivia Culpo was crowned Miss Universe last night (December 19, 2012) at the Planet Hollywood Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, after surprising her family by entering the Miss Rhode Island beauty pageant last year and making the decision to go the whole way to win the ultimate beauty pageant title, Miss Universe.

According to a report from Newsday.com, her father Peter was surprised to learn that she had decided to enter the pageant. “We didn’t know a thing about pageants,” he told the press. After winning Miss Rhode Island, in a “rented $20 dress with a hole in it,” she started working out, dieting and “studying current events on a flashcard to win the Miss USA contest, which is organized by a company partly owned by Donald Trump. During the Miss Universe pageant, Culpo won over the judges, despite tripping over her gown at one point. The poise with which she recovered was noted by the event’s telecasters.

Olivia said after the show that being awarded the title was an honor for her to win the title and represent her country, especially in the wake of the tragic shooting in Connecticut. “It's such an honor to be representing the USA in an international beauty contest in spite of all the tragedy that's happened in this country lately,” said Culpo. “I really hope that this this will raise everybody's spirits a little.”

Miss Universe Competition 2012 Contestants Pose In Swimwear

Donald Trump

The Miss Universe pledge reads "We, the young women of the universe, believe people everywhere are seeking peace, tolerance and mutual understanding. We pledge to spread this message in every way we can, wherever we go."

Tolerance and mutual understanding is something that has been lacking in the competition for many years, but this year's contest has taken one step further to equality and 'tolerance', by allowing transgender women to compete. It was Jenna Talackova, a Miss Canada contestant, who finally convinced Donald Trump, the sponsor for the competition, to allow transgender people to enter. Unfortunately she didn't win the Miss Canada competition so this year's event wont see any transgender contestants, although we may see some in the future, and her influence has further opened the world to equality in gender and body politics.

The prize for this year will be handed out in Las Vegas, after the 89 girls from 89 countries have competed. Today, photos have been revealed, by the Daily Mail, of them posing in swimwear, which highlights more than just their bodies. 'Miss Universe' is continuously criticized for the objectification of women, despite the 'creed' being focussed on that peace, tolerance and understanding that we looked at above. When a Miss Universe contestant is more than a size 14, perhaps then we could take it seriously. For now, under weight ladies with an inordinate amount of lip gloss and false body parts are the standard of beauty. Having said this, the platform allows the winner to do a lot of good, and last year's winner has apparently raised awareness for AIDS and HIV. Holly Hale, a 22 year old from Cardiff is competing for Great Britain.

Donald Trump To Boycott Glenfiddich Over Michael Forbes Top Scot Award

Donald Trump

Donald Trump, while being famous for great wealth and poor decisions, has also carved himself a niche as being a bitter and bizarre man. He's spearheaded the witch hunt of President Barack Obama, being convinced that the President isn't a natural citizen of the USA. This time around, he's boycotting the company that owns Glenfiddich, William Grant and Sons, for having the audacity to name Michael Forbes their 'Top Scot'

"Michael Forbes totally lost his battle, in that he tried to stop the Trump Organisation and its many supporters from building what is now recognised as one of the greatest golf courses in the world." Trump said in a statement reported by the BBC, "To think that a product like Glenfiddich would recognise a man like Michael Forbes, who lives in a property which I have accurately described in the past as a total pigsty, a man who loves the attention he has gotten because of his so-called fight with Donald Trump, would receive an award over someone like Andy Murray.

"Glenfiddich's choice of Michael Forbes, as Top Scot, will go down as one of the great jokes ever played on the Scottish people and is a terrible embarrassment to Scotland.

Donald Trump 'Announcement' Threatens Charities And Barack Obama With $5m Ransom

Donald Trump Barack Obama

Surely Donald Trump should have used up all of his stupid up by now. His 1991 bankruptcy was pretty stupid, especially given that one of his businesses went bankrupt again in 2009. It was pretty stupid of him in 2011 to accuse President Barack Obama of not being born in the USA, particularly as it was promptly negated by the release of Obama's birth certificate. It's now 2012 and he still hasn't learn his lesson.

In fact, he's really taken the biscuit. Before Wednesday he had released statements saying that he may be changing the course of presidential history, reports the LA Times. As it turns out in an announcement yesterday (24th Oct. 2012) he is simply threatening Obama and charities with some bizarre form of politico-social blackmail, by bribing Obama with the promise of $5m to be given to his 'favourite charity' so long as the president releases information from his colleges, his college reports and his passport information. Say what? That's right, Trump wants to see Obama's credentials. The business mogul argued that the current president is the 'least transparent President in the history of [the USA]' (perhaps he forgot about that Nixon debacle). Barbra Walters has snapped back at Trump calling him a 'fool', according to NY Daily News, and she certainly isn't wrong.

Not only is Trump's gimmick stupid, it's disgustingly offensive and racist. I wonder whether if a white man, with the name 'John Smith' and a democrat leader would find the same obscene treatment. Trump seems to be forgetting that his own lineage is not rooted in the US, indeed, that no  one living in that country, besides indigenous people can root their genealogy there further back than 400 years. Obama is American, he embodies all the attributes that the US praises itself on; tolerance, free speech as well as bravery, honesty and assertiveness. If Trump cannot be proud of that, then he surely cannot be proud of his own country.

Donald Trump Obama 'October Surprise': What Do The Celebs Think?

Donald Trump Barack Obama Jay Leno Ricky Gervais Adam Levine

A special Donald Trump announcement, which saw him promise to donate $5 million to Obama's favourite charity if the president released his college records and passport information, has been met by a less than favourable response from a few choice celebrities.

In a rare moment of genuine wit, which would probably be better applied to some of his music, Adam Levine of Maroon 5 tweeted: "Will someone tell Donald Trump we don't live in Gotham City?" And it was the micro blogging site that proved to be a breeding ground for comic responses to the frankly bizarre request from Trump; ‘The Office’ star Rainn Wilson posted, "I will pay 5 million dollars to see copies of Donald Trump's humility," while her show’s creator, Ricky Gervais tweeted, "I will give $500 to charity if Donald Trump gives up his hairdresser's passport and college records." Singer Josh Groban tweeted, "For Halloween I'm going to be Donald Trump! Gonna comb over my hair and not give 5 million dollars to charity!"

Perhaps the most important commentator on Mr. Trump is Obama himself, who of course was the subject of the odd YouTube upload. "What's this thing with Trump and you?" Leno asked on The Tonight Show, reports The L.A Times. "This all dates back to when we were growing up together in Kenya," Obama responded. "We had constant run-ins on the soccer field. He wasn't very good and resented it. When we finally moved to America, I thought it would be over." We at Contact Music will give $5 to our chosen charity if Donald Trump ever says anything sensible. And that’s a promise.

The Greatest Movie Ever Sold Review

Very Good
There's a zing of postmodern fun to be had while watching a film that documents itself being made. And while it's a clever look at the secret world of product placement, you never quite feel like the movie itself really gets up to speed.

In order to make a documentary about the shady world of brand integration in films and television, Spurlock decides to sell his new project to the highest bidders. And discovers that there's a parallel world of public relations, advertising, product specialists and neuro-marketers who make a lot of money doing this. After a slow start, sponsors climb on board, and Spurlock makes sure to keep their products on-screen as he conducts interviews with experts.

But does this compromise his journalistic or artistic integrity?
