Oscar winner Robert De Niro has made his feelings about presidential candidate Donald Trump very clear. Speaking at the opening of the Sarajevo Film Festival on Friday, De Niro compared Trump to his character Travis Bickle from the 1976 film Taxi Driver.

During a Q&A session before presenting a restored version of the film, De Niro was asked about Bickle's mental illness and his thoughts immediately turned to Trump. "What he has been saying is totally crazy, ridiculous, stuff that shouldn't be even...he is totally nuts," De Niro said.

In a new interview with Esquire magazine alongside his son, Scott Eastwood, the 86 year old actor and director didn’t hold back as he castigated a “pussy generation” of Americans obsessed and petrified by political correctness when asked what he thought of Trump’s campaign.

Justin Bieber was reportedly offered $5 million to play at a Republican party event earlier this month. The singer is said to have turned down the offer after longtime manager Scooter Braun threatened to quit if he accepted the gig.

According to TMZ, a promoter contacted Bieber’s people with the offer, asking him to perform for 45 minutes at a venue near the Quicken Loans Arena, where the Republican National Convention was being held.

The study by Professor Diana Mutz of the University of Pennsylvania found that the more Harry Potter books an American reads, the more their opinion of Trump lowers. “Reading Harry Potter books encourages more negative attitudes toward Trump,” Mutz wrote.

With the Republican National Convention in full swing and Donald Trump about to accept the party’s nomination for presidential candidate, Ivanka Trump has admitted she’s sometimes concerned for her father’s safety.

The 34 year old businesswoman, who works for her father’s Trump Organisation, spoke to ABC's ‘Good Morning America’ in an interview broadcast on Tuesday (July 19th). In the wake of recent attempts by people to rush the stage when he is speaking, she said that she was often concerned for his physical safety at rallies.

“I worry about the safety of my father - but I worry about the safety of every American, including my children and myself, my family,” she said.
