O'Donnell and Trump have been exchanging insults for the best part of a decade, and hostilities resumed as she described his campaign as "a nightmare".
In possibly the least surprising political pronouncement of the year, liberal media commentator Rosie O’Donnell has expressed her displeasure at the success that Donald Trump’s presidential nomination campaign has enjoyed so far, describing it as “a nightmare”.
O’Donnell, 53, has publicly clashed with the billionaire White House hopeful on many occasions in the past, and she was asked about his campaign during an interview on Monday night (November 23rd) ahead of her guest appearance in Wednesday night’s ‘Empire’. She bluntly told the Associated Press "it's a nightmare”, before simply saying “that’s my quote”.

Love him or hate him, you just can’t ignore him: Donald Trump’s guest turn as host on ‘Saturday Night Live’ over the weekend has helped the NBC show record its highest ratings in three years, with a whopping 6.6 household rating.
The billionaire real estate mogul-turned-Presidential hopeful appeared on the evergreen sketch show, an appearance that went ahead despite vociferous protests from minority ethnic groups and civil rights activists directed at the network in the week building up to it.

The activists are seeking to persuade 'SNL's advertisers and sponsors to withdraw their support for the episode which Trump is scheduled to host this weekend.
Activists have assembled outside the headquarters of NBC at the Rockefeller Center in New York in order to protest the scheduled appearance of Donald Trump on ‘Saturday Night Live’, and have vowed to pressurise the show’s advertisers into withdrawing their support for the show.
Trump, the controversial presidential candidate and the current frontrunner in the race for the Republican Party’s nomination, is due to host ‘SNL’ on Saturday November 7th. This is despite the network’s parent company NBCUniversal severing its business ties with the candidate several months ago after Trump described Mexican immigrants as “bringing crime [and] drugs” to America.

Lawrence was in conversation with Entertainment Weekly alongside her two Hunger Games co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, promoting the forthcoming final instalment of the dystopian series called Mockingjay – Part 2, when she made the comments. Perhaps if Trump wins, she’ll be returning as Katniss Everdeen to lead a rebellion in real life!

Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to air his grievances at the network.
In his latest social media outburst, Donald Trump has indicated that he will no longer be appearing on any Fox programs because he feels that their negative coverage of his presidential nomination campaign has been unfair.
“Fox News has been treating me very unfairly & I have therefore decided that I won’t be doing any more Fox shows for the foreseeable future,” the Republican front-runner tweeted on Wednesday (September 23rd).
The ill feeling between Trump and the Fox network began with his comments about Fox’s political commentator Megyn Kelly that he made after the first Republican primary debate. Trump was unhappy at Kelly’s line of questioning about comments he had made about women in the past, and in a later interview with CNN, he said she had “blood coming out of her eyes… blood coming out of her wherever.”

NBC announced that the former Governor of California would be hiring and firing on 'Celebrity Apprentice' next year.
The network made the announcement via a statement on Monday (September 14th) that was reported by Deadline. “Arnold Schwarzenegger is the epitome of a global brand in entertainment and business, and his accomplishments in the political arena speak for themselves,” it said. Arnie is expected to make his debut as the host when the series returns in early 2016.
68 year old Schwarzenegger is, of course, a former governor of California, in office from 2003 to 2011. His rather strange career arc has seen him go from athlete, to actor, to politician and back to actor again in his nearly fifty year time in the limelight. Presumably the catchphrase will have to change from “you’re fired” to “you’re terminated”!
