The father and son pair have been keen to work together for several years, but they were not able to find the right material - until this past summer (13), when they shot Forsaken together.
Kiefer says, "It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I was very relieved to have actually done it. I think, at some point, we were worried whether we would ever get the opportunity (to work together)."
Kiefer admits they were both extremely nervous about shooting the movie with each other.
He continues, "It was huge. When we started rehearsals, for the first two weeks, we were very professional... Then, the night before we started shooting, I phoned him up and I said, 'You know, I just want you to know if tomorrow's a little awkward, it's because I'm really nervous', and he started to laugh and I think he said something to the effect of, 'Oh my God, I've already crapped myself'.
"It was something that we were really, really scared about doing and then, for the rest of the (shoot), after we got that conversation over with, it was fantastic."
