U.S. TV star Donald Glover has launched a new internet campaign to land him the part of SPIDER-MAN on the big screen.
The African-American star of comedy shows like 30 Rock and Community is a self-confessed Spider-Man superfan - and he's hoping to get the chance to audition for the 2012 movie.
Glover has created pages on Facebook and Twitter.com and he's asking other comic book fans to help him achieve his dream.
In his tweet, the actor writes, "I don’t want to just be given the role. I want to be able to audition. I truly love Spider-Man."
The new Spider-Man, a prequel to the Tobey Maguire/Sam Raimi films, will be directed by Marc Webb.
