Following last night's announcement on Radio 1, Dog Is Dead are pleased to announce that they'll be playing the BBC Introducing stage as very special 'returning' guests at next weekend's Reading and Leeds festival. The band will take to the BBC Introducing stage at Leeds Festival on Friday 23 August at 8.30pm and Reading Festival onSunday 25 August at 8.40pm. At last year's Reading and Leeds, Two Door Cinema Club, Jake Bugg and alt-J were all handpicked to play on the stage as returning guests.
Singer Rob Milton commented - "Playing the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury 2010 was a very special moment early on for us which opened up a lot of doors, it's amazing to be invited back and to be able to say thanks for all the support over the last few years, especially at the festival we used to go to growing up."
Currently in the studio working on their follow-up to their 2012 debut All Our Favourite Stories, the quintet plan to play new music as well as their crowd classics at next week's festivities. This year alone, the band have sold out a UK tour including Koko and Nottingham Rock City, supported Two Door Cinema Club on their 17-date European tour and recently packed out the John Peel stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
