British cult TV show Doctor Who has scooped two top gongs at the UK's TV Quick and TV Choice Awards, storming ahead of its small screen rivals. The Billie Piper-starring saga saw lead actor David Tennant bag the Best Actor trophy, while Piper picked up the Best Actress award. Soap opera Eastenders beat Coronation Street to the Best Soap gong for the first time since 2003, while LITTLE BRITAIN was awarded the Best Comedy honour. Chat show legend PAUL O'GRADY, currently recovering after a recent heart attack, was given a Special Award for his diverse ten-year career in light entertainment.
