British TV show Doctor Who hopes to exterminate all competition after receiving a nomination for this year's (07) National TV Awards. The popular science fiction show is a nominee for Most Popular Drama at the prestigious British awards ceremony - and is expected to scoop the prize. Doctor Who will compete against other U.K. programmes Life On Mars, Shameless and The Bill for the award. Meanwhile, current timelord David Tennant has also been nominated for Best Actor, while sidekick Freema Agyeman is a nominee in the Most Popular Actress category. The ceremony takes place on 31 October.
