Rapper DMX is facing legal action from bosses at a nightclub over allegations he was paid for a personal appearance he failed to attend.

Bosses at the Owls Nest Sports Lounge in North Carolina claim they hired the hip-hop star, real name Earl Simmons, to meet patrons at an event last August (12).

The executives allegedly paid the star $3,000 (£1,875) for the appearance, but they claim Dmx failed to show up as planned.

They have filed a lawsuit asking for the fee to be returned, as well as various expenses, according to Tmz.com.
