LATEST: Rapper DMX is heading out to the Arizona desert to seek clarity on his troubled life - and the soul-searching trip is to be documented on TV. The hip-hop star, real name Earl Simmons, is embarking on a comeback later this year (06), after announcing his retirement in 2003, and he's hoping his upcoming reality TV show SOUL OF A MAN will help fans understand his troubles. DMX has been in and out of jail for much of the past year following arrests for driving offences and failing to appear in court. He plans to address these issues on the Black Entertainment (BET) reality show, which is the brainchild of R+B mogul KENNETH 'Babyface' EDMONDS' estranged wife TRACEY. DMX's previous TV attempt at living in the wilderness was an eye-opening experience - the rapper confessed he had deep concerns about the environment after joining Cameron Diaz and Rebecca Romijn on a hiking expedition in Wyoming's Yellowstone National Park for MTV's TRIPPIN' series last year (05).
