The Dixie Chicks have attracted more controversy - by taking another shot at American president George W Bush.

The country trio were shunned in their native America when lead singer Natalie Maines declared in March (03) she was "ashamed" that Bush hailed from her home state of Texas.

And during their Monday (02JUN03) show at the PALACE OF AUBURN HILLS in Auburn Hills, Michigan, they aimed fire once more.

The Chicks had to cancel Sunday's (01JUN03) show in Cleveland, Ohio, due to Maines' sore throat, but she told the sold-out Palace audience, "I am so glad I got my voice back for tonight. I had absolutely no voice yesterday - and I swear you could hear clapping from the Oval Office."

The comment sparked boos from the audience.
