More characters we can't wait to fall in love with.
'Finding Dory' is definitely on the way now, and with it a whole host of lovable new characters. It takes place just a year after the events of 'Finding Nemo', even if it's taken more than ten years for this sequel to finally arrive. We're sure it'll be worth the wait.
Squirt the little sea turtle
Directed by Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane, 'Finding Dory' is set to arrive on June 17th 2016. While it was disappointing to learn that we won't be hearing Michael Sheen's voice in the movie after all since he was edited out of the final cut, the new characters that did make it are still inescapably awesome.

This is our kind of scavenger hunt.
Everyone likes a good Easter Egg hunt this time of year, but one of our favourites involves searching them out in iconic films. Of course, these 'Easter eggs' aren't of the chocolate variety, merely snippets from films containing amusing inside jokes or tributes to other movies.
In honour of all the scavenger hunts that will be happening amongst children tomorrow as they set about discovering what the Easter bunny has left, we reflect on some more sophisticated kind of 'Easter eggs'; that is, the various hidden meanings in some of our favourite movies.

Speaking to E!, the directors set the record straight on a few things, including one long-held fan theory about Robin Williams’ Genie.
Robin Williams voiced the Genie in Aladdin.
It’s been long believed by many Aladdin fans that the peddler who appears at the beginning of the film is the Genie, as both characters are voice by Robin Williams and it seems they were correct. "I saw something that speculates that the peddler at the beginning of Aladdin is the Genie. That's true!" Clements said.

Walt Disney Co. will break ground on two attractions, one in California and the other in Florida, next year.
The Disney corporation will begin construction on two new Star Wars attractions in 2016, according to the company’s Chief Operating Officer Thomas Staggs. Both will be built in Disney’s two existing theme parks in Florida and California.
The areas, which will be themed ‘lands’ at each park, will be 14 acres each, representing the largest single-themed expansions in terms of size in Disney’s history, according to the news that was announced on Thursday (September 10th).
Disney bought out Lucasfilm, which holds the rights to all things Star Wars, for $4.06 billion back in 2012. Staggs, speaking at the Bank of America-Merrill Lynch 2015 Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference in Beverly Hills, remained tight-lipped as to when the attractions would actually be opened, but we already have a rough idea as to what the attractions will include when they do.

The ‘Descendants’ soundtrack might be on top, but overall album sales are declining in the US.
The soundtrack to Disney TV movie Descendants has debuted at Number One on this week’s Billboard album chart. The album is now the fourth soundtrack to take the number one spot so far this year, following in the footsteps of Empire, Furious 7 and Pitch Perfect 2.
Sophie Reynolds, Kristin Chenoweth and Dove Cameron star in Disney’s Descendants.
But the Descendants soundtrack has also earned the unfortunate title of being the lowest selling album to take the top spot since Nielsen Music began tracking album sales in 1991. The soundtrack sold just 42,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 6 to take the top spot.

'Beauty and the Beast', 'The Jungle Book', 'Dumbo' and 'Mulan' are already getting the live-action treatment, so which animation is up next?
Great... Another Disney classic is being changed into a live-action movie. Barely a week goes by in which we're not reporting yet another animation is being revamped. We're already hearing reports that production of Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, is underway and others that Dumbo, Winnie The Pooh, The Jungle Book and Mulan are all being made into live-action films. It may not be original but, if we look at $758 million Maleficent raked in and Cinderella's recent success, it is hugely profitable.

For the fans that just can't wait until December, 'Star Wars' is set to a release a new HD collection for digital distribution.
'Star Wars' is a phenomenon. The oddball 1977 original movie (later deemed to be "Part 4") was the first true blockbuster, changing the way movies are merchandised and reigniting the steadily dying science fiction genre. It turned the space opera into a crowd-pleasing licence to print money, and we all love it for that. On the other hand, the best way to send any self-respecting geek into a fit of frothing rage is even allude to the prequel trilogy without discussing how you would have made it better yourself.
Harrison Ford in 'Star Wars: A New Hope'
The thing is, the original trilogy is still held in such high regard, that the series is still a viable investment; not only are we getting an entirely new trilogy beginning at the end of 2015, but a remastered collection of the entire saga so far is set to be released digitally online on 10th April, 2015. As if you needed something to get you in the mood.
