After winning the Best New Festival Award in 2015, Wild Life was back at Brighton City Airport to now showcase and cement its date in the festival calendar as a major player. To do this, it would need to go one better, bring in something neoteric and exhilarating, whilst also landing some grand-musical heavyweights. They arrived in the form of grime's latest stars Stormzy and Skepta, American vets Ice Cube and Busta Rhymes, and pop artists Bastille.
It was the former N.W.A lyricist who had the crowd trembling at his figure tips though. Supported by no more than his son (not O'Shea Jackson who plays his father in Straight Outta Compton), Ice Cube was the penultimate act on Sunday's main stage and stole the show. The set of the weekend, despite co-curators Disclosure and Rudimental headlining the festival for successive years.
With both Stormzy and Skepta having tracks appear ubiquitously over all radio stations, this was their moment to shine, their moment under the spotlight. They appeared on the main stage Saturday and Sunday respectively and both seemed to revere their audience from the first moment, with Stormzy indicating it was the biggest and best crowd he had every performed at - it probably was for Skepta too.

With the festival season fully under way, Wild Life returns for its second installment, reappearing on the south coast at Brighton City Airport (known locally as Shoreham Airport)
After winning the Best New Festival at last years UK Festival Awards, co-curators Rudimental and Disclosure are set to do it all again, establishing a name for themselves at the festival, making sure everyone knows it is theirs, giving it their own cultural identity.
The two-day festival that spreads across the weekend of June 11th and 12th provides no camping, but a music festival that transcends generic boundaries, a diverse line up that attracts and appeals to all ages. From James Bay to Skepta, Jack Garratt to DJ EZ, Wild Life is showcasing its multifarious taste, despite Earth Wind and Fire pulling out.

After the success of the inaugural Wild Life Festival last year, it is unsurprisingly back again with a line up boasting some huge names.
Mimicking the variety of 2015, the festival curators have specifically chosen a festival bill that amalgamates all genres of music, appealing to musical fans of all ages and all walks of life.
Joining the headliners will be hip hop heavyweight veterans Ice Cube and Busta Rhymes, showcasing how rap is done on the west coast, whilst Stormzy and Skepta will represent the London's rap and grime scene down on the south coast.

Disclosure are back with a new album.
Following the huge success of their debut LP Settle - which also launched the career of Sam Smith - the dance music duo Disclosure has announced details of its second album. Caracal will be released via Island Records on September 25 - a departure from the group's usual home at Cherrytree.
Disclosure and Sam Smith collaborated for the major hit Latch
Previews of the new tracks appear to show a range of styles, from the house cut of Bang That, to the jazzy Holding On, which features the voice of American vocalist Gregory Porter. The group has also been recording with Mary J Blige on her recent London Sessions recordings. Other guest vocalists on the record include the R&B newcomer Nao, Lion Babe and Kwabs.

The 'Waiting All Night' hitmakers are back with their second album, called 'We The Generation' and out in September.
British drum and bass group Rudimental have announced details of their second studio album, which will be out later this year. It will be titled We The Generation, and will be released on September 18th, 2015.
Consisting of fourteen tracks, the follow-up to their well-received 2013 debut Home will feature a galaxy of guest stars on vocals, including the late Bobby Womack on the final song ‘New Day’. The group also shared the first track to be taken from the new album, called ‘Never Let You Go’ which features Foy Vance on vocals.

Outside Lands 2014 will be headlined by Kanye West, The Killers and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Possibly the only major festival where you can enjoy fine gourmet cuisine while rocking out to an eclectic variety of international artists, Outside Lands has now unveiled the 2014 line-up as it prepares to return to San Francisco this August.
We just can't express our excitement enough at the newly revealed line-up for Outside Lands this year. Topping the bill are the likes of Kanye West, The Killers and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers; three very different artists which see the latter become the first act ever to headline twice following their incredible set in 2013. Now in its seventh year, Outside Lands are showing signs of development every single summer, and at much benefit for the city with a percentage of every ticket sale going to San Francisco's Recreation and Park Department.
Bastille won the BRIT for Best Breakthrough Act, but should London Grammar have taken home the gong?
Bastille may have walked away with the BRIT Award for Best British Breakthrough Act, but were they the most deserving winners of the gong? Their 2013 debut album ‘Bad Blood’ did reach number one in the UK music chart, but so did Eughan Quigg’s self-titled album in 2009. We’re definitely joking here, Bastille is in no way comparable to Eughan (no disrespect, Eughan), but number ones have been misleading indicators of quality music in the past!
Bastille brought home the BRIT at last Wednesday's awards
Bastille have produced some catchy and very popular tracks over the past couple of years and are certainly owed some recognition for this. They’re talented musicians who we envisage having the long lifeline of super band, Arctic Monkeys, especially since ‘Bad Blood’ has returned to the number one spot since their BRIT win. The problem is the deflated feeling we’ve had since they bagged the award. Not because Bastille didn‘t deserve to win, but because there was another act in the running who really blew us away in 2013.

Lionel Richie and Vampire Weekend will also perform at the annual roof-raiser.
The line-up for this year's Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival has been announced and looks to be more impressive than ever with Elton John, Kanye West, Lionel Richie, Jack White and Vampire Weekend all gracing the Manchester, Tenn. stages across the four-day celebration. The festival, which will be held from the 12th to the 15th June this year, will serve up an enviable mix of genres.
Elton John Will Lead This Year's Incredible Bonnaroo Festival Line-Up.
Bonnaroo Festival is famous for having provided a stage to one of Kanye West's famous rants last time he played in 2008. The rapper and his fans reacted with outrage when Kanye's originally late night set was shifted to a performance during broad daylight, provoking a classic caps-lock tirade from the short-fused star.
The BRIT Awards will be held tonight, what can we expect from the UK's most exciting music awards?
All set for the BRIT Awards this evening? Indeed, Britain's biggest night of music awards will take place today and we're feeling pretty excited for the ceremony, which is set to be as spectacular as ever. Of course, if it was purely based on sales, most of the awards would go to One Direction, who have sold 3.19 million albums in the past year. Luckily that's not the case and the awards look set to be handed out to a diverse range of acts who've made their mark on music this year.
Nominated 'International Female Solo Artist' Will Be Bringing Her Pop Hits To Tonight's Ceremony.
This year's musical entertainment will be provided by Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, Ellie Goulding Arctic Monkeys, Rudimental, Bruno Mars, Bastille, and Lorde but a rumour has arisen that Prince may make a surprise performance with his band, 3rdEyeGirl. The funk singer has been delighting Londoners with surprise gigs over the past week so it's highly plausible that he'll make the BRIT Awards his final London date.

Find out which artists have been nominated for a Brit Award (or three) this year.
The nominees have been announced for this year's Brit Awards, which will be presented live in a ceremony on ITV on the 19th February. The annual awards celebrate the year's biggest British music stars, in a competition that is as hotly contested as ever after a thrilling year in music.
Disclosure Could Be About To Get A Lot More Famous With Four Potential Brit Awards Headed Their Way.
Bastille and Disclosure have emerged as the early front-runners after netting four nominations apiece and will go head-to-head in the Mastercard British Album of the Year, British Breakthrough Act, British Single and British Group categories. Though both groups have enjoyed rocketing to success this year, Disclosure and their album Settle may have the edge due to having been also nominated for last year's Mercury Music Prize.
Queens of the Stone Age, The Replacements, Beck and The Knife are also among the top-billed performers
Coachella 2014 will be returning to Indio, California, this spring for a two-weekend spectacular that will see some of the world's biggest performers gather in one polo field in the middle of the desert. This week the full line-up for the latest incarnation of the ever-popular festival was announced, with the bill yet another feast for the eyes (and eventually the ears too).
Big Boi and Andre 3000 will reunited for the headline performance
Eight years since their last album and eventual hiatus, Outkast will reform to headline the first day of the festival, which will kick start on the weekend of 11-13 April. The Grammy-winning hip-hop duo will be joined on the first day by fellow returnees The Knife, who released their first album in seven years - the acclaimed Shaking the Habitual - in 2013 and The Replacements, who reformed in 2012. Ellie Goulding, Chromeo, Haim, A$AP Ferg, Bryan Ferry, DJ Falcon and many others will also appear on the first day.

Metronymy, Of Mice and Men and I Am Legion are also amongst those announced.
Blink 182 Are The First Announced Reading & Leeds Headliners.
The pop punk trio will be returning headliners after their previous top slot in 2010. Set to take place during next August's Bank Holiday Weekend the twinned festivals after their previous stint headlining the event in 2010. The first batch of acts was revealed on Radio 1 this evening and Blink 182's mark Hoppus spoke of exciting new music planned for the festival.
Atoms For Peace and Beck to headline this year's Treasure Island Music Festival on October 19th - 20th.
Treasure Island Music Festival returns to San Francisco, California this October for two days with an impressive selection of live music and other entertainment at a stunning location on this popular man-made island.
Headlining Saturday, October 19th is Radiohead singer Thom Yorke's supergroup Atoms For Peace - a band with a dream team line-up in itself who released their debut album earlier this year - who will be joined by the likes of dancehall DJ Major Lazer and British duo Disclosure. Sunday 20th sees yet more great sets from exclusive headliner Beck, as well as Animal Collective, hyped band of the moment Haim, London indie group Palma Violets and pop duo Sleigh Bells. What's more, you don't have to miss out on any of this incredible music as bands will be spread out on two stages, with no-one playing at the same time and, more importantly, no interruptions.

Squarepusher has a lot to answer for. In the mid 90's, he made subtle, arty dance music a force to be reckoned with, "Feed Me Weird Things" demonstrating to the world that dance music didn't have to be all hollow bravado and posturing. Trouble is, nobody seems to have told Disclosure that not everyone can pull this style of music off - and they fail to pull it off quite spectacularly on this single.
