There are an unsettling number of incidents concerning Warwick's extended family and all of which appear to centre on bathtubs or showers. Warwick is the cousin of the late Whitney Houston who was found dead in a bath in a Beverly Hills hotel in February 2011. Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was also found unconscious in a bathtub 31st January.

Warwick, who is best known for songs such as 'Do You Know the Way to San Jose?' and 'I Say a Little Prayer', thanked fans for their support via Twitter. "On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you for all of your kind words. All in God's plan," Warwick wrote on Twitter.

Although her tweet comes two days after her own release from hospital, Warwick also appears to be referring to her distant cousin's current state. Brown is currently in a medically induced coma and sources close to the family are concerned with her condition if and when she awakes. Her brain functions remain unknown and will not be assessed until the sedatives wear off. "It doesn't look like she's coming back, at least not back to her old self," source told Us Weekly
