The mother of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan wants a second chance to sit down with the chat show host following her disastrous appearance on his show earlier this week, according to US website TMZ.
Dina - who has been labeled ''the worst mother in America'' - is said to be eager to prove she is not a complete train wreck. She was slammed by Dr Phil as a ''phony and inauthentic'' for appearing intoxicated and making rude gestures during the recent interview.
Sources close to Dina say she was extremely emotional and does not believe the interview was a fair representation of her character.
The mother-of-four is reported to have reached out to Dr Phil for a do-over.
It is not yet known whether the no-nonsense talk show host - who admitted to Dina that he was unimpressed with her attitude - is interested in speaking to her on camera again.
He told her: ''What you have done is distinguished yourself in the negative, you have come on here and been phony and inauthentic.
''You spent more time talking about cameras, are we rolling...that's my business...we're not here about my business, we're here about your life.''
Dina's ex-husband Michael Lohan - who was also interviewed by on the show - accused her of being a bad influence on their daughter and urged her to come clean about her problems after seeing her on the show.
He said: ''Over the last seven years Dina has come to such a bad place!
''The people she surrounds herself with are no better [than Lindsay's], so what kind of an example is that?''
