A sixth Live 8 concert has been announced to coincide with the G8 summit in Scotland on 6 July (05).
The fundraising extravaganza, which will be headlined by Dido, Annie LENNOX, Travis and Texas, will take place at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium - and the performers will take to the stage while world political leaders discuss Africa's debt crisis a few miles away at the Gleneagles resort.
SIR Bob Geldof has already announced live shows in London, Paris, Rome, Berlin and Philadelphia.
Co-organiser MIDGE URE insists the concert will not cause problems for the Scottish capital's residents with an influx of music fans and protesters.
He says, "I wouldn't bring my family to something I thought could be a dreadful situation."08/06/2005 03:10
