I AM NUMBER FOUR, one of the most anticipated sci-fi movies of 2011, will star 'Glee' actress Dianna Agron as the love interest of an alien played by Alex Pettyfer, and fans got their first glimpse of the movie when the official trailer hit the web on Friday (10th December 2010).
The movie is based on the book by PITTACUS LORE, a pseudonym for the writing duo of James Frey and JOBIE HUGHES, and follows the story of 'John Smith', an alien who has the appearance of a human. The trailer explains that John is being hunted down by an enemy species known as 'The Mogadorians', and his guardian warns him that other aliens have already been killed. He explains that John is one of nine aliens, and that the first three have been murdered in Malaysia, England, and Kenya. However, he reveals that the Mogadorians can only kill in sequential order, and tells John that he is 'number four'.
In a recent interview with Collider.com, 24-year-old Agron said that she is yet to see the finished version of the movie, insisting that she wants to wait until the premiere, saying, "I think I wanna wait and see it with everybody come February. But what I have seen, so pleasantly surprised-but then not surprised because, you know, DJ's (Caruso, director) done these movies before and with everybody that we had behind us I had a feeling it was gonna be really beautiful to watch". 'I Am Number Four' is set to hit cinemas on 18th February 2011.
