Emmy-award winning actress DAME Diana Rigg has landed one of the main roles in the U.K. stage adaptation of Spanish director Pedro Almodovar's film All About My Mother.
The former The Avengers star will play Huma Roto, a famous actress who is responsible for the death of a 17-year-old boy, at London's Old Vic.
And the casting has met with the approval of Almodovar.
He adds, "I have been a fan of Diana's for all these years and I am thrilled that she is playing Huma."
Kevin Spacey, the Old Vic's artistic director, adds, "I couldn't be more pleased that Diana Rigg, one of the UK's best-loved actresses, will be playing the role of Huma. Diana's played an extraordinary range of roles in a distinguished career and I can't wait to see her on the Old Vic stage."
