Former Destiny's Child stars Latavia Roberson and Letoya Luckett have congratulated their ex-bandmates Beyonce and Kelly Rowland on their magnificent Super Bowl half-time performance.
Roberson and Luckett left the group after the release of its second album in 2000, and Michelle Williams was quickly called in to fill their shoes.
On Sunday (03Feb13) Williams and original member Rowland joined headliner Beyonce for a mini reunion at the American football championship, where they sang a handful of popular tracks, including Bootylicious and Independent Woman, and now the pair has spoken out to applaud the hitmakers on a job well-done.
Roberson tells Celebuzz.com, "Obviously, seeing Beyonce perform was the highlight for me. I got a real surprise when both Kelly and Michelle both popped-up on the stage like that. I thought they all looked great and did a good job with their dance moves. Beyonce was especially amazing. She looked fabulous and her voice was really strong...
"It was great to see them all performing together and I have no bitter or bad feelings toward any of those women. I wish them all the best. I am at a good place in my life and things always work out for a reason... I am pleased that Destiny's Child got back together for the Super Bowl - the fans seemed to really enjoy it too!"
And in a post on Twitter.com, Luckett writes, "I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E. #soproud... The Most entertaining Super Bowl I've ever seen in My life from start to finish! #handsdown".
