The stars of hit TV show Desperate Housewives have announced plans to sell off the glamorous clothes they wear on magazine covers for charity.

THE CLOTHES OFF OUR COVERS campaign, an offshoot of CLOTHES OFF OUR BACKS, will give the outfits worn by the women on magazine shoots to charity to raise money.

Star Nicolette Sheridan, says of giving to the charity, "I'm going to see what I can gather as far as things that I've worn on the covers of magazines and come up with as much as I can from then, and whatever comes up."

Housewives stars - Teri Hatcher, Sheridan and Eva Longoria, along with the show's resident hunk JAMES DENTON - announced the new charity last night (12APR05) at a Los Angeles party for INSTYLE magazine.

Clothes Off Our Backs, founded by husband and wife Bradley Whitford and Jane Kaczmarek, asks celebrities to donate the designer attire they've worn to awards shows for children's charities.
