Former Anti-apartheid Leader Desmond Tutu Has Sparked Fresh Fears For His Health After He Was Admitted To A Hospital In South Africa For The Third Time In Less Than Two Months.
The 83-year-old former cleric endured two hospital stays in July (15) as he battled an infection stemming from his 18-year battle with prostate cancer, and he was back in a medical facility on Monday (17Aug15) to treat another complication.
Tutu's daughter Mpho Tutu confirmed her father is suffering from a bout of "inflammation", adding, "He is in good spirits. It's the right place for him to be right now. As you know, and as my father is finding out, he is 83, not 38, so bouncing back from an illness is not quite as easy as it once was... This is caution, not crisis... We are concerned but not panicked."
