OSCAR-winning foreign film THE BARBARIAN INVASIONS has scored the ultimate accolade in its native Canada, picking up the country's top movie award.
The Denys Arcand movie was the big winner at Canada's GENIES on Saturday night (01MAY04), picking up six honours, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Remy Girard), Best Supporting Actor (Stephane Rousseau) and Best Supporting Actress (Marie-Josee Croze).

Best Actress winner Sarah Polley was present to pick up her award for her turn in MY LIFE WITHOUT ME.
