Australian singer Delta Goodrem is offering fans refunds after she cut short a show in Sydney last week (ends04Nov12).

The pop star scalded her legs in a bizarre accident, but took to the stage at Sydney's State Theatre as planned on Friday night (02Nov12).

However, the pain became too much for Goodrem and she abandoned the concert halfway through.

She subsequently said sorry to fans and now gig-goers are being offered a 50 per cent refund on their tickets as compensation.

A statement from promoter Paul Dainty reads, "Delta showed incredible courage and dedication to her fans by soldiering on through the pain and dizziness to perform a brilliant first hour of her show to a full house at the Sydney State Theatre. We are all just so proud of her trying to do the best for her fans and at least deliver half of her show under such difficult circumstances."

Fans will be contacted by bosses at ticket retailer Ticketmaster to organise the refunds.
