The British presenting duo Anthony Mcpartlin and Declan Donnelly - better known as Ant and Dec - made £23,000 a day last year. The Bafta winning pair took home $8.4 million between them under their exclusive contract with ITV.

Celebrities support Superhero Day in aid of Cash for Kids

Ant & Dec, Anthony Mcpartlin and Declan Donnelly - Ant & Dec go into Metro Radio in Newcastle to host the breakfast show for Superhero Day in aid of Cash for Kids and The Sunshine Fund at Metro Radio - Newcastle, United Kingdom - Friday 15th May 2015

Cash for Kids 'Superhero Day' raises £546,000

Ant & Dec, Anthony Mcpartlin and Declan Donnelly - Cash for Kids 'Superhero Day' saw various celebrities including Ant and Dec, Ross Noble, Brooke Vincent, Katie McGlynn, Amy Kelly, Phil Neville lending their support to raise an outstanding £514,000 with more money still to come in. The various events which took place across all 21 Cash for Kids sites saw supporters dress up, fundraise and donate with all the money raised staying in the local community within which it was raised. Newcastle, Ant & Dec hosted the Breakfast Show on Metro Radio and met local beneficiaries of the funds raised, comedian Ross Noble also popped into the station. Ant and Dec commented ahead of their appearance: "As patrons of Cash for Kids and The Sunshine Fund we're thrilled to be part of Superhero Day across the North East and can't wait to be back in our home town on Friday 15th May! We want to celebrate all of the hard work these two charities do in the community, and hopefully encourage companies, schools and individuals to dig a little deeper to help local children. We're passionate about our area and know that people will be Superheroes on the day and donate what they can." Manchester, Footballer Phil Neville, Brooke Vincent, Amy Kelly, Katie Mcglynn and Sinead Tinker from Coronation Street all got involved. Raising funds for: Beechwood Cancer Care in order to create a child bereavement service. The service will be inclusive across the whole of Greater Manchester. Any family regardless of background can use this free counselling service. In the eventuality that a parent has to tell a child that someone has a terminal illness, this service is there to support the child through that process. It also works to support children who have lost a family member in a road traffic accident or other tragic circumstances. Liverpool, Liverpool and Everton football teams lent their support. Ant & Dec Star Assaulted By Gang Outside West London Pub

Ant Mcpartlin, one half of the supremely successful presenting duo Ant & Dec, was assaulted by a gang of youths outside the Old Station House in Chiswick over the weekend. McPartlin was enjoying a meal with his mother and sister when the gang started making rude gestures and taking videos through the window.

When McPartlin approached the group, he was put into a headlock and his mother was pushed to the ground, according to The Sun.
