Veteran entertainer Debbie Reynolds celebrated her 78th birthday on Wednesday (01Apr10) by preparing to kick-off her U.K. tour.
The Singin' In The Rain star is set to travel Britain to showcase the songs she performed throughout her lengthy Hollywood career. She will also regale audiences with memories of her time on-set with stars such as Bette Davis, Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly.
In a press conference for the trek, entitled Alive and Fabulous, the actress/singer insisted the 1950s and '60s were the best times to be part of Hollywood.
She told reporters, "We had the best of it all. I wish the young talent had the times we had. We did not have the big salaries like they did but we certainly had fabulous times and we had great lessons and great teachers. It was a unique time - Rome before the fall."
The dates will kick-off in Norwich, England on 7 April (10).
