The former 'Hollyoaks' actor - known for his role as cross-dresser Kris Fisher in the soap - is a huge fan of the Channel 4 reality series, and is thrilled to have been asked by show bosses to join the host for a show next month.
Speaking at the opening night of 'The Merry Wives of Windsor', at Shakespeare's Globe theatre in London, he told BANG Showbiz: "I'm so excited! A few days ago I tweeted that I would love to go into the 'Big Brother' house. And then I got a call asking if I could come in for a show and tweet to fans during it - reporting to Davina what they thought.
"I'm now going down on August 30. I can't wait, I'm obsessed with 'Big Brother'. I asked my agent if I could go into the house for a laugh, but then he reminded me that I'm at the Globe - which is huge, obviously."
This news comes as the current 'Big Brother' housemates for the series to draw to a close on Tuesday (24.08.10), shortly before 'Ultimate Big Brother' begins.
The new show will feature housemates spanning the past 10 years, from 'Celebrity Big Brother' to the regular series, and will culminate in a huge final on September 10.
Meanwhile, four of the current nine housemates face the boot tonight (20.08.10), as series 11 draws to a close.

Lovebirds John James and Josie - whose TV romance has seemed strained over the past few days - have also been pondering what will happen if the Australian hunk goes today.
Josie told Sam: "I don't think he's as strong as he makes out.
"He's gonna have girls all queuing up. Imagine if I got out and then John's got a new girlfriend. If he's really happy I don't think it would bother me. You know when you love someone that much."
