British funnyman David Walliams help raise $7,832 (£5,000) for charity by donning a sequined sailor suit and taking to the stage with camp Britain's Got Talent act the Showbears on Saturday (30Jun12).
The Little Britain star made a guest appearance with the vocal and dance comedy group at London's G-A-y nightclub, prompting the venue's promoter to donate money to the Elton John Aids Foundation.
In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, Walliams - a judge on the talent show - writes, "So I re-united with the Showbears for one night only at G.A.Y. in London. Just like on the Tv I knew only some of the words and dance moves. Jeremy Joseph who runs G.A.Y. donated £5000 to the Elton John Aids Foundation for my appearance with the Showbears last night. Thankyou JJ!"
