The army bandsman and magician beat singer Wayne Woodward to become this year’s winner.
Magician Richard Jones has been crowned this year’s winner of ‘Britain's Got Talent’ after a close final. The 25-year-old army bandsman impressed viewers and the judges on Saturday night (May 28th) with a military-themed trick featuring an army veteran.

Judge Dixon referred to one act as "sexy chocolate men" on Wednesday night's semi-final, and was also criticised for pressing other judges' buzzers.
‘Britain’s Got Talent’ viewers on social media are calling for judge Alesha Dixon to be kicked off the panel after she described one act on the show as “sexy chocolate men” on Wednesday night's semi-final.
The 37 year old singer, formerly of noughties girl group Mis-Teeq, made the remark while praising the opera group Vox Fortura after they gave a rendition of David Bowie’s ‘”Heroes”’. Four sexy chocolate men,” she said as they finished, “with amazing voices, polished to perfection. That was sensational.”
Immediately, irate fans took to Twitter to call for Dixon to make a public apology for the reference, while others demanded that she be fired from the show.

After Cowell failed to appear Walliams told the audience: “We really need someone to fill that seat. Actually my mother is here today and she’s going to be Simon Cowell if she doesn’t mind. David Walliams has apologised to his young readers for for not responding to their fan mail after discovering his post had been stolen. The comedian turned children author revealed on twitter that he’d been informed by police he was the victim of mail theft and has asked young fans to write to him again.

On twitter Walliams wrote: “The @metpoliceuk just told me my post was stolen, including a large box of letters from children that had been sent via @HarperCollins. So I apologise if you sent a letter & have not received a reply as I do endeavour to reply to everyone. If in doubt please write again.”
