The hot director, who has won awards for his work with Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez among others, admits working on videos for Korn's TOMB RAIDER sequel video and PINK'S CHARLIE'S ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE promo were nightmares.
He explains, "With Korn's Tomb Raider video for DOING MY TIME, I had a movie star with a different agenda from everybody.
"It wasn't that she had attitude or hostility toward the movie. She just doesn't appreciate movie videos that try to replicate the movies and do it in a cheesy way.
"She was like, 'I don't even want to dress like Lara Croft. Let's just do a video, and I'll be in Korn's world.'
"It got a little crazy because none of them talked to each other. I was the middle guy for Korn, the president of marketing at Paramount and Angelina. Everybody's calling me, and I was like, `Come on guys, this is your movie star.'"
Meyers admits he had a similar experience when he directed Pink in her Full Throttle video for REAL GOOD TIME.
He adds, "Pink wanted to be edgy but her image has gotten very, very dark, and her management wanted to lighten it up. It got a little sticky."11/07/2003 01:53
