French dance music star David Guetta has turned to a former U.S. national security advisor to help him track down the internet hacker who illegally swiped a copy of his new single Where Them Girls At and posted it online.
The producer and DJ was left fuming when an unfinished version of the track, a collaboration with rappers Nicki Minaj and Flo Rida, emerged on the internet earlier this week (begs02May11).
The musician reveals the culprit stole his song and added his own production to the tune before releasing it on the web, claiming it was all Guetta's work. The leak prompted the star's record label bosses to rush release the complete version ahead of schedule.
Now Guetta has recruited an investigator who previously worked at the Pentagon to pinpoint the suspect.
He says, "It's a big worry. We've hired the guy who works with security for the Pentagon. It's really crazy, I know it sounds like a film but it's the truth."
