David Copperfield is offering a $50,000 (£31,250) reward for the safe return of a prestigious award from the Society of American Magicians after it was swiped from his New York apartment after a party.
The illusionist was crowned the King of Magic and the Magician of the Century during a star-studded reception at his Big Apple home on 14 September (11), in front of guests like actor Owen Wilson, designer Roberto Cavalli and R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe.
Copperfield was devastated to discover his front door had been left wide open after he and his guests left to continue the party at a nearby restaurant - and his new King of Magic award had disappeared into thin air upon his return, according to the New York Post.
